It all starts with the design. Just like a computer GIGO (garbage in, garbage out). That’s why we employ our art director Tom. He’s a professional artist and has been doing custom t shirt art for years. He can create your custom design from a concept, a drawing, or an existing logo or design. If you have your artwork already done in a usable format we can use that and save you some money and time at the same time.

Since each color requires a different screen the artwork has to be done in a format that allows us to create color separations (seps). Each sep is printed on special high grade semi transparent vellum and is then “burned” onto a screen using an exposure unit that fixes the image onto the screen

Our designs are done in a vector format on a computer. Any file with an “.eps” extension can be used. If your design is in a JPEG or bitmap format it will have to be redone in order to print seps. If you blow up a JPEG image on your computer and look closely you will see that the image gets fuzzy. Vector formatted art maintains its integrity no matter what you do with the image.

Once your design is complete it is emailed to you so you can see what it will look like on the garment you are having printed. Your design is also stored in a secure database for future use. If you want to change the size or a feature of your design all we do is pull it up from the database and the changes are done in minutes.
